Justin & Alana

Justin and I have known each other since we were kids we went to the same nursery school and our parents were friends. He joked in his wedding speech that I followed him from Hillcrest to Dalhousie. Justin and I have mutual friends and one night we happened to be at the same party to celebrate Nuit Blanche (a Toronto festival that goes all night) which led into our first date.

Belly Busters Late Night

What stood out?

The moment that really stood out for me was walking down the aisle to a song  my husband chose “she’s got a way” by Billy Joel. Everything at that point felt so real all of our planning finally was being executed. After the party ended we finished the night at Belly Busters with a delicious sub and some stares.

The Cake
The wedding cake was designed by cakes by Constantine – wow she took my idea and blew me away! She made a stunning cake that mimicked the flowers on my wedding gown each guest was served an individual wedding cake.  She is beyond talented

Advice for other brides

My advice to all brides is that it is  completely normally to get swept up in every last detail – but at the end of the day you have to stay grounded your wedding is one night and although special the rest of your life is what you really are celebrating. My cousin told me to take a step back at my wedding and watch everyone celebrating and enjoying themselves because the 6 hours go by faster than you know.
